Reverend Robert P. Paresi, Jr., MSW
Deacon Robert Paresi was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in May of 2009.
He received his Bachelors Degree in Human Services from Springfield College, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2003, as well as a Masters in Social Work from the Springfield College School of Social Work in 2008.
Professionally, Robert has worked in the Human Services field for over 20 years, and providing clinical therapy and counseling to emotionally compromised adolescents remains his passion. He is currently employed as a Medical Social Worker with New England Homecare, Inc.
A former Episcopalian, Robert brings an Anglican tradition to the American Ecumenical Church that is reflected in his willingness to serve. His love for our church comes from his desire to feel God’s presence and love, and to share that within our parish family.
As a Deacon, Robert has assisted in setting up for our Sunday services, and more recently, has begun training the parish children to serve as acolytes at the altar.
Robert has been accepted into the Hartford Seminary Master of Arts, and he plans to begin the program in the fall. He intends to major in Theology and Biblical Studies while preparing for his goal towards the priesthood.
